The 1st edition of the Swiss Smart Factory Open Day took place on December 10, 2024, at the Switzerland Innovation Park Biel/Bienne Ltd., Aarbergstrasse 46, 2503 Biel/Bienne, Switzerland.
The event showcased cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions from the SSF network, drawing attendees from various industries. Highlights included 30-minute guided tours by the SSF Team, where visitors explored key technologies designed to simplify production processes. Alongside over 30 network partners, integrated solutions were presented at the SSF Lighthouse Factory Industry 4.0, offering a glimpse into the future of manufacturing.
Carlos E. Palau Salvador kicked off the event by presenting the O-CEI initiative, a collaboration of 60 partners from 19 countries, including academia, industry, SMEs, and non-profits. Focused on leveraging data for insights, fostering openness and collaboration, and showcasing replicable success stories, the initiative is driving innovation through eight pilots across Europe. These pilots address energy distribution, EV charging, smart city energy systems, autonomous tractors, and agriculture, building on outcomes from prior EU-funded projects. Open calls will invite new pilots to ensure scalability and broad adoption.
aerOS proudly announces the aerOS Open Call #2 winners! Many thanks to all participants for submitting their proposals! In total 29 valid Open Call proposals were received, out of which, after a detailed evaluation period, 8 Open Call projects, from 6 different countries have been selected as the winning ones.
